Taly was born and raised on a ranch in Plains, Kansas. She attended West Texas A&M University, where she played basketball and soccer and graduated cum laude in 2007 with a B.S. in Mass Communications/Broadcasting. She went on to law school at Texas Tech University School of Law.

EARLY CAREER

During law school, Taly clerked for the Law Office of Mark Snodgrass, assisting with criminal defense, family law, and litigation. She also interned with the Innocence Project of Texas, supporting the organization's work overturning wrongful convictions and securing freedom for men and women imprisoned for crimes they did not commit.

After graduating in 2010, Taly spent the next five years as an associate at Mark Snodgrass's firm. During that time, she expanded her practice into juvenile law and family law, including divorce, child custody, and child support cases.

CIVIC INVOLVEMENT, COMPASSION FOR EVERY CLIENT

While in Lubbock, Taly served as President of the Lubbock Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association and sat on the board of the Lubbock Bar Association. She has remained active in civic and charitable work throughout her career, including involvement with The Junior League of Lubbock, Paul's Project, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Food2Kids.
